Separate the launch assets by file requirements
Imagine a new stationery brand needing a campaign background, three category icons, and a packaging presentation. The background might be a raster image. The icons may need editable paths, consistent strokes, and reliable scaling. A single label such as AI visuals hides these different production requirements.
List the required format, editing needs, and acceptance criteria for each asset. If the designer needs SVG paths, a PNG that resembles an icon does not satisfy the handoff. Converting it later is an additional operation that can require cleanup.
Compare input, editing, and export capabilities
Recraft's documentation describes image import, canvas editing, raster exports, and vector exports including SVG and PDF. Its vectorizing workflow converts a raster image into vector artwork. The presence of an export option does not establish that every generated shape will meet your design standard.
THE RENDER OFFICE creates a new PNG from a written prompt, visual direction, size, and quality choice. Its current studio has no image upload, vectorization, native SVG output, or editable vector canvas. Changing the prompt generates another image rather than adjusting selected paths.
| Requirement | THE RENDER OFFICE | Recraft |
|---|---|---|
| New raster concept | Text-to-image PNG workflow | Raster generation documented |
| Editable SVG output | Not available in the current studio | Vector export documented |
| Use an existing image | No image upload | Import to the canvas documented |
| Turn raster artwork into vectors | Needs another tool | Vectorizing workflow documented |
Use a small asset set for a meaningful evaluation
For the stationery launch, define three icons representing writing, organizing, and gifting. Evaluate whether their shapes are understandable at the intended small size and whether a designer can adjust their colors and geometry. Inspect the actual exported SVG, not only the preview shown in the generator.
For the campaign background, define a separate test around composition, texture, and headline space. That asset should be evaluated as a raster image in the draft layout. The two tests answer different questions and should not be combined into one overall quality score.
Account for the work after generation
Vector output may still need path cleanup, spacing adjustments, and a consistent visual system. A raster concept may still need accurate product assets, final typography, and approved crops. Include those tasks when estimating the complete cost of the launch set.
THE RENDER OFFICE carries a recurring membership fee and separate OpenAI API usage on your own account. Check Recraft's current plan and usage conditions for the required features. An apparent saving on generation can disappear if the chosen output needs extensive conversion or repair before delivery.
Choose based on the file you can approve
When editable vector assets are essential, Recraft's documented vector workflow addresses a requirement this studio does not provide. When the assignment is a new raster campaign concept, evaluate the available controls, account requirements, and total cost around that narrower job.
Keep the approved source, editable production files, and destination exports together. A tool comparison is complete only when you understand what the receiving designer can open and change. No claim about sales, creative quality, or guaranteed time savings follows from the feature table alone.
