From brief to collection kit
Material, color, form, light.
Start with the Material Study preset or write your own direction and trait groups. Each edition gets a distinct combination. Review the images for visual consistency; different prompts do not guarantee visibly different results.
Use your current membership allowance or collection credits when available. Your own OpenAI API key is required, and OpenAI bills every provider request separately.
Build a collection ↗Preparing the collection for OpenSea
- Review and download your finished PNGs. Image ZIPs contain up to 100 files each so a large collection remains manageable.
- Upload the images to the public storage used by your NFT publishing workflow. Keep the numbered filenames unchanged.
- Enter that public image folder URI here. Export the matching JSON metadata containing names, descriptions, image references, and traits.
- Use your chosen NFT publishing tool or contract to host metadata and mint. Map each token to its numbered JSON file, such as 00001.json. Contract setup, wallet transactions, gas, and marketplace publication happen separately.
The studio exports 1024 × 1024 PNGs. OpenSea’s media guidance recommends images at least 3000 × 3000 pixels; prepare and review larger versions separately when needed.
This workspace creates artwork and metadata. It does not connect a wallet, mint tokens, list items, or promise sales. Review OpenSea’s metadata documentation and the requirements of your chosen publisher.
Questions before you start
Will all 10,000 images be generated immediately?
No. Creating a collection saves its plan without calling OpenAI. You choose how many images to run, review the billing notice, and start generation. Requests run one at a time while this tab remains open. Large collections can take many hours or days.
Can I pause and come back?
Yes. Completed images and collection details are stored privately in your account. Your API key is not saved. Reconnect it to continue. If a request was interrupted, the studio checks saved output before allowing another attempt.
How do credits work?
One collection credit covers one successfully saved image in this collection workspace. OpenAI usage is separate. Available packs and prices appear in your workspace. Existing memberships can also fund collection images within their normal monthly allowance.
What happens if a request fails?
The platform allowance is restored when no image was saved. OpenAI may still have billed an interrupted or uncertain request. Such attempts require your explicit review before a retry. Identical image files are rejected, but you must still review visual similarity and quality.
Are these ready-minted NFTs?
No. You receive PNG images and metadata files. Hosting, contract configuration, minting, marketplace requirements, rights review, and any related costs remain part of your separate publishing workflow.
