Practical art direction

Brief AI backgrounds for transparent products and reflective packaging

Transparent products take much of their visible character from the surroundings. Plan the background and light together, then review the real product integration rather than assuming a generated scene preserves its shape.

This is an original planning guide, not a customer case study or a measured revenue result. Scenarios and prompts are untested. Product controls checked September 14, 2026.

Identify which edges must remain readable

For an imagined glass vase campaign, the viewer needs to understand the opening, rim, base, and overall profile. A pale vase against a pale background may need a different edge treatment from a dark bottle with a printed label.

Use the approved product asset to judge the requirement. Do not assume that a background which works with a generic generated object will also work with the real item's thickness, tint, or reflections.

Plan contrast as part of the composition

Compare a simple light field, a darker edge, and a restrained surface reflection. Keep these choices subordinate to the actual object. The goal is readable form, not a collection of dramatic highlights.

AreaVisual questionFinal check
Rim and openingCan the boundary be understood?Matches the actual product shape
BodyDoes the background reveal the form?No invented internal structure
BaseDoes the object sit on the surface?Plausible contact and reflection

Generate an empty setting for comparison

Explore the background without an invented product when the final item must be exact. This makes it easier to separate art direction from product evidence.

From the brief

Empty product background for a transparent glass object to be added later. Pale matte surface, broad soft side light, a subtle darker vertical field near the left edge, restrained surface reflection, uncluttered central placement area. No glass object, bottle, liquid, text, logos, or people. Landscape composition.

Review the composite as one lighting system

After the real product is integrated, inspect reflection direction, edge contrast, contact, and visible background through the object. A separate background and product photograph may require expert retouching to agree convincingly.

THE RENDER OFFICE does not import the product photograph or perform that exact composite. Use the concept to guide a photographer or designer, and budget the integration work separately from generation.
