Classify every asset by project status
For a hypothetical modular desk organizer, a concept image might explain the desired visual character. A prototype photograph shows what has actually been built. A production update should show the work or records that support the stated progress.
Keep these categories visible in the page and asset notes. Do not let a realistic concept stand in for a finished prototype, manufacturing capability, or tested product. Review the campaign platform's current rules before publishing any proposed representation.
| Asset status | What it can communicate | What it does not establish |
|---|---|---|
| Illustrative concept | Intended atmosphere or design direction | A built or tested product |
| Current prototype | The actual state of the prototype | Completed mass production |
| Documented test | The recorded result under stated conditions | Untested performance in other conditions |
| Production evidence | Verified progress at a particular time | Guaranteed future delivery |
Use concepts for a narrow explanatory role
A background can help explain the context in which the product is intended to be used. Keep the actual prototype image separate and accurate when it is introduced into the layout. This lets the team explore the campaign setting without inventing the product's current state.
The studio cannot upload a prototype photograph or preserve its dimensions. If the page needs an accurate product-in-context image, use a suitable photography or compositing workflow and review the result against the real prototype.
From the brief
Illustrative campaign setting for a proposed modular desk organizer. A simple uncluttered desk surface, soft natural side light, a few plain sheets placed far from the central product area, restrained neutral colors, clear empty space for an actual prototype photograph to be added later. No organizer, tools, people, text, logos, or production equipment. Landscape composition.
Make reward images agree with the offer
List the items, variants, quantities, and exclusions for each reward using the current campaign information. If a supporting prop is not included, ensure the layout does not imply otherwise. Keep exact specifications and fulfillment assumptions in editable text.
A rendered packaging scene does not establish that the package has been sourced or that the product fits. Label proposed details and update them when the design changes. Backers should be able to distinguish a goal from a completed milestone.
Review claims beside their evidence
Inspect performance statements, test images, prototype photos, and progress captions together. Keep the test conditions and dates clear where they affect interpretation. Avoid invented testimonials, certifications, factories, or use results in the generated imagery.
Ask someone unfamiliar with the project to identify what exists now and what remains planned. If the page leaves that unclear, revise the presentation before optimizing its visual polish.
Update the campaign as the product changes
Keep an asset register with status, source, approval, and the pages where each image appears. Replace or relabel superseded concepts when the prototype evolves. Retain the earlier record so the team can explain what changed.
Use concept generation for the visual questions it can help answer, and include accurate documentation, design, and review in the campaign budget. Contributions and delivery outcomes cannot be inferred from the number or quality of illustrative images.
